Hogwarts Scrapbook Part 4

This is the last of today's creations, another page for the Hogwarts scrapbook!

I've used a Bugaboo Potoin Shelf digi coloured with pro markers, sakura glaze pens and glitter glue, some paper from my stash, three paper flowers finished with glitter glue, a punched butterfly, and some hand-drawn stitching.

And sadly now my weekend is over. I did buy a gorgeous new digi from Crafts and Me to use, but silly me not thinking ahead, it's going to take quite a while to colour. So I'm going to print a couple to colour this week and use in next weekend's crafting!

Hogwarts Scrapbook Part 3

More work's been done on the Hogwarts themed scrapbook I'm making for my friend!

I used a Bugaboo Stamps Wizard for this page, coloured with promarkers (his cloak is finished with red for his school house). The papers are capsule collection, from my stash, and the little squares have been cut from an old Harry Potter book. I've used punched flowers, and finished them with teeny blue gems, as well as blue satin ribbon, silver glitter glue, and lots of hand-drawn stitching!

This is a teeny tiny 4" card!
I've used another Tiddly Inks Victorian Lady digi, coloured with pro markers and glitter glue, more capsule collection papers (I love this stuff, I have it in every colour now can you believe), some white lace, a punched butterfly decorated with papermania button, four teeny pearls and some hand-drawn stitching!

Blue Mermaid Card

This is a cute little card I put together quickly thismorning!

I used a Tiddly Inks Victorian Lady Digi, coloured with promarkers, and used silver glitter glue on her tail and as a border. The backing paper is capsule collection, a plain blue, and a piece from my stash. I used plain blue satin ribbon decorated with mini gems from Anitas, my own sentiment, and three mulberry flowers. There's also some hand-drawn stitching going on!

Hogwarts Scrapbook Part 2

So I've been working on this in bits and pieces since starting, and this is how far I've got - to recap, there's 15 pages and two covers.

I haven't finished this last page yet - I've still to decorate the tags with wand digi stamps on one side, and maybe some journalling papers on the other. I love this quote by Mad Eye though, which is why this pocket pages has been decorated to look like a back pocket! Sadly there are no digis of Moody himself.

All pages are only finished provisionally - I like to do the layouts first, then bind the book, then add the embellishments after. I've been known to over embellish them before to the extent that the book wont close, so I like to play it safe now!

Guinea Pig Thank You Card

This card I've made for my pig-sitter, who takes my boys over Christmas while I visit family!

I've used the Jolly Nation Guinea Pig Stamp and coloured him with pro markers, some traditional christmas backing papers, swiss dot embossed red card, red glitter card (a bargain at £1.00 for 10 sheets at Tescos), four clear teeny gems from anitas, silver outline stickers, skinny green satin ribbon, my own printed sentiment, and three white punched snowflakes painted with glitter glue!

Hogwarts Scrapbook Part 1

So I've taken on the massive undertaking of making a premade Hogwarts themed scrapbook for my girl flatmate for Christmas! She just loves everything Harry Potter!

This is as far as I've gotten! I've cut 15 black card pages, and two greyboard covers, in 8x8 inches, and covered the covers with a nice black stripey paper. I've ordered some blue and brown starry themed patterned papers so the book has continuity when finished, and also some more glitter glue! I also grabbed a cheap Harry Potter book to cut up for mats!
I'm going to really enjoy this, and it's an excellent excuse to buy the rest of the Hogwarts themed digi stamps from Bugaboo Stamps!
I've already got some black 1 1/4 inch wires for my bind it all to finish it with, but I still need to find some nice blue ribbons - can you believe I have none?!

Each weekend I hope to get a little more done to the book (crafting seems to take me a ridiculously long time compared to other crafters), and will add a new post with photos of the work done so far!

Jack Skellington Scribble Book 2

This is the second of my Jack Skellington scribble books this week!

This book was made with plain paper inside, and bound with black bind it all wires (thanks Zutter)! I used my Jack Skellington digi stamp from Simply Betty Stamps (I'm dying for the rest of the collection but there's just too much to buy at the moment), some old halloween papers, and some hand-drawn candy corns.
This is a gift for my second male flatmate, who would also be confused if I gave him something covered in ribbons and gems! I'm still perfecting my gifts for men, if anyone has any pointers?!

Jack Skellington Scribble Book 1

This weekend I made a couple of Jack Skellington Scribble Books!

This one I made with some old halloween papers, my Jack Skellington Digi from Simply Betty Stamps, and four hand-drawn candy corns. The book has plain paper inside, measures 9cm square, and is bound with black bind it all wires courtesy of Zutter!
This book is a gift for one of my male flatmates (hence the lack of ribbons and buttons - I can just imagine his perplexed expression at being given one of my usual makes)!
